... And The Nominees are --

Last Week the Academy announced its nominations for the best of 2007, follow the link below to the official site and see if your favorite movie is included.

Official Oscar Website

Which picks do you agree with, which do you feel do not deserve mention?

What film, actor and/or director do you think they missed?

All the picks for Best Picture were released within the last few months, what movies would you have added that the Academy looked over?

You don't have to answer each question exactly, just compose your own critique of the Academy's choices in order to be in the running for February's prize.

Add your comment down below for a chance to win February's Movieblog prize.

There will be a First, Second and Third place prize this month.

A nicely framed movie poster (TBA).
A 10 dollar gift certificate to Tate St. Coffee.
And one more, yet to be announced.

Seconds after this picture was snapped, due to a major technical
malfunction, "Michael Clayton" fell off the wall -- killing the presenters
and injuring 20 members of the press corp sitting in the first three rows.

I agree Megan, it seems this year the Academy tried a lot less than what they usually do.

BTW: You are the only one in the running for the prizes! Good luck.

A third prize has just been added, two free tickets to the Carousel Movie Theatre.
